These seeds are sold strictly for ornamental landscape planting, not food. Ackee is worth being genuinely careful with: unripe ackee fruit contains toxins that cause severe illness and has a documented history of poisonings when eaten before the pod naturally splits open and is properly prepared. We don't sell this as food, provide preparation guidance, or recommend consuming any part of it.

Years, not weeks. This is a slow-growing tropical tree, typically taking several years to mature and fruit. Buy it for the long game and the foliage, not a quick payoff.

White Poppy and Blue Poppy Spain are both Papaver somniferum, sold here strictly as ornamental garden bloom. Shirley Corn Poppy is Papaver rhoeas — a different species entirely, the classic field poppy, with no relation to the somniferum line. All three are grown for color and bloom, not harvest.

Ornamental seed and garden cultivation of Papaver somniferum for its flower is widely and commonly sold in the US; what's regulated is extracting or using the plant for its opiate content, not growing it for the bloom. Follow your own local ordinances, and use these for garden display only — we don't provide guidance on anything beyond that.

No. These are ornamental varieties bred and sold for bloom. Our culinary poppy seed is a separate listing, separate product, sold specifically for baking. Don't substitute one for the other.

We stand behind the seed as it leaves us, but germination depends on soil, water, timing, and climate we don't control. Damaged or clearly compromised shipments are on us; a bad growing season isn't.
